Exceptional restaurant. As someone who dines out in Ottawa often, this is probably our favourite spot so far this year. Great service from the moment you walk in. Food had Quebec influence, was well balanced, and interesting. Great wine selection. Would recommend!

Cozy restaurant on one side (booths, lower ceiling and lights) and more airy/open on the other, where you can sit at the open kitchen bar and watch the chefs work their magic. Ambiance and staff felt welcoming. Food was delicious, service was friendly and price was good for the quality of food. Mocktails were seasonal and delicious. We did tapas sharing plates.

Went at Buvette Daphnee with my family to celebrate the end of semester and we were delighted with the whole experience. The service was impeccable and the food was truly impressive. Everything we got from the contre-filet to the desserts was tastefully well crafted and original. The cocktails were fresh and delicious. Thanks for making this evening special!

One of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while! I have a dairy allergy and was nervous given it’s a French (and butter filled menu) I called ahead and was reassured they could modify things for me. When I arrived they had a menu that specifically had the modified items listed which was above and beyond my expectations. Service was fantastic, our server was knowledgeable about the food and wine and was absolutely lovely. Will be back

My partner and I chose this spot to kick off our anniversary dinner after hearing it was the perfect date-night destination, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. There’s something genuinely unique about the atmosphere here. It strikes the perfect balance between intimate and effortlessly cool. I feel like this would be a really neat first date spot. We were doing a bit of a restaurant hop and decided to stop in for just an appetizer. We were looking for something light but memorable, and the staff recommended the celery salad and we couldn’t help but notice it on nearly every table around us. We shared that along with the sourdough bread, and both blew us away. Generous portions on the bread, great value for the price. Service was warm and genuine. A special shoutout to Kyra, who was so lovely, down-to-earth, and so authentic. We loved it here so much that we were tempted to stay for the full dinner, but it ended up being the perfect teaser to make us want to come back for more. This may have just become our new favourite spot. Huge thanks to Kyra and the kitchen team. 10/10, and we can’t wait to return.

Our New Year’s Eve dining experience at Buvette Daphnee was nothing short of spectacular. Despite adding two extra guests to our reservation at the last minute, the staff was incredibly accommodating, ensuring our entire group could celebrate together. It was a testament to their wonderful hospitality. • We started with a full exploration of their cocktail menu. Each drink was beautifully crafted and delicious, with the standout being the pear cocktail—an absolute must-try. • Moving on to the food, we took the “go big or go home” approach and ordered nearly every item on the menu, including all three desserts. The dishes, served family-style, were perfect for sharing, allowing us to savor the entire menu. Every dish was a delicious, flawlessly prepared and bursting with flavor. The marinated Lima beans and grilled celeriac salad were both pleasant surprises. Who knew?!?!!! • The retro decor and vibrant ambiance added to the overall experience, creating a perfect setting to welcome the new year. • The service was impeccable, attentive, friendly, and efficient from start to finish. If you’re looking for a memorable dining experience with excellent food, drinks, and service, this is the spot!

We stopped by this adorable little coffee shop to grab a coffee and have a short visit with family members. You know, maybe a latte, or a cold brew. Instead, we somehow ended up with flights of margaritas and espresso martinis... and honestly? Best detour ever. The drinks were fantastic—super tasty, smooth, and went down way too easily. The margaritas were refreshing, and the espresso martinis had just the right flavour. Whoever’s behind the bar clearly knows what they’re doing. Our server was great—friendly, super helpful, and knew the menu like the back of her hand. She recommended the drinks, and she was spot on. Service like that makes you feel right at home. We sat outside on the patio, which was small but really charming—perfect for sipping and catching up with family. We’ll definitely be back—hopefully to try the coffee next time. But who am I to turn down a happy hour flight menu.

Got a table early evening via Resy which I found to be a rather anxious reservation app. High top table are ok but perhaps not for a long dinner. Found a nice hook for my walking cane. Service staff were excellent and accommodating and worked with kitchen to find substitutes for an allergy. Menu is very creative and the presentation is just fabulous. Flavours and textures at times unexpected but very pleasant surprises either way. It is an inspired menu. Recommend ordering more bread to soak up those sumptuous sauces. Love open kitchens when done well. And operated well. You do not hear them. I accidentally turned off the kitchen lights (it was labelled) while visiting the washroom. Not a growl to be heard from the kitchen staff. Just awesome. Overall creativity is really impressive.
